I’m David Boyd, the founder and president for over 31 years.

I created this company from humble beginnings with my hard-working loving wife, Martha Boyd.

My goal was to create a company to perform plumbing services in a beautiful area like Freedom, NH and provide good paying jobs for hard-working service-minded individuals. I feel I’ve done this to the best of my ability.

A business of this proportion cannot be made without a lot of good people. I feel we have some great people who keep FPI in business and growing to meet our customers demands. FPI is the hardest working company around, hands down! FPI provides knowledge, professionalism, safety and invests thousands of dollars in tools and equipment to give our customers the best they deserve. I’m sure you’ve done your homework and know who we are. If so or if not I will tell you exactly who we are. FPI is a team of highly skilled individuals and individuals on their way to be highly-skilled through our first-rate apprenticeship program.

Our office personnel are first rate in customer service. They are the first impression of great service to our customers (new and loyal).

Our plumbing division is second to no other company in our jurisdictional area.

Our fab show is the only plumbing and pipefitting fab shop in our area. Providing quality work in a safe work atmosphere.

Our heating division is also #1 and is a go-to service for many commercial and residential customers.

Our drain cleaning division is tops. No one comes close to our service and equipment investments to this need.

What we don’t want are individuals who think they can come and go as they want, like head to the beach on a nice day, putting our customers in a bind and giving our company a black eye. We will not put up with personal cell phone use during business hours. Your friends and family can wait until your lunch break or after work to keep in touch with you. Hangovers, drugs or alcohol abuse (0 tolerance). There is no room for individuals who abuse their bodies and minds by self-induced addictions. We perform drug screening at anytime during your employ here. This is a business where you need to be alert at all times and aware of the hazards around you so you or your co-workers are not harmed by stupid addictions.

We will not tolerate anyone who insults or is prejudice to other. But also, we don’t want individuals who can’t tolerate a good joke once in awhile. If you’re the type who is going to bring your liberal agenda to the work place, we don’t want you. This is not a place for thin-skinned, anti-American individuals. FPI is made up of proud Americans who come to work everyday to serve, fix and protect our customers. This is our #1 agenda. Keep your personal beliefs to yourself. No politics allowed on the job site.

I invest thousands of dollars annually in safety equipment and training. If you choose to work for us, you will follow all of our safety regulations. If you are going to be one of our field techs, you will need to have or get your OSHA minimum requirement certification as soon as possible. It’s the law.

If you’re seeking an apprenticeship, you will have to provide all the asking requirements before work start. Yes, you will have to invest some time and cost to start your career, no exceptions.

We are currently looking for the following professionals with experience:

Experienced Heat or HVAC Technician

Minimum of 3 years as a go-to employee. Must have a Maine or N.H. license in gas and/or oil. Has to be able to work in rotation on call. Some areas of experience we are looking for: Boiler and furnace installation and replacement; Residential or Commercial service repairs for gas or oil burners. Related equipment, no prima donnas please. Must be able to work alone or with others in a safe work environment.

Experienced Plumbers

Minimum of 3 years with journeyman experience. Whether it’s new and renovations or service experience, we can use you if you’re willing to work hard and grow.

Laborer

40 hours a week. Working with our water and sewer division. Working around our two facilities maintaining year-round housekeeping and seasonal projects.

Office Personnel

Our office personnel are an essential part of our operations as well. They keep our customers scheduled and do all the daily important tasks expected to keep a busy service company operating. Must have skills with the computer, customer service and billing. Training is available.
